Its a test mule, they are very incomplete and cant really be considered a car.

BMW would have crushed it when they were done anyway.

Yep, sad, but these cars are designed to be destroyed in the end...

But that is the whole point.

When it is close to the end of it's development cycle, that car is worth millions with all the man-hours that went into it. It still has to be assessed afterwards if they were still testing.
Now it has to be done all over again to complete the development.

It is only after it has finished its development cycle that it becomes worthless and will be crushed.
