1st Exterior mods on 125i

Hey guys

Did the first subtle exterior mods on the 125i over the weekend. Total cost R400.00. I must a say a big thank you to Tiger Wheel and Tyre Centurion Lifestyle Centre Centurion, who fitted my 10mm rear spacers, checked alignment and sorted out the rotation on the back wheels for no charge, considering how busy they where, I was quite surprised when the guy told me "All in order, "Merry Xmas, no charge!" Had the bumper wrapped in CF gloss vinyl as well.

The changes are very subtle but make a nice change. Here are the pics.

:rollsmile: looks very nice - can hardy tell its a '1er' ............. Back at the ranch - our '12 E93 335i MetWhite is about to emerge - but not til Santa arrives.....and the bumper stickers are all in place.

What made u do the CF vinyl on the bumpers?

Some of the real CF pieces,I've seen, are really obscence and vulgar, some are too low or don't flow with the cutlines on the oem bumper. I think this is a more discreet way of changing the look of the oem bumper and gives it a bit of a splitter look.....

I actually agree with you bud, the wrap looks much better than the carbon fibre splitters on your 1er. Well done! I love!!:thumbs:

Move those 10mm spacers up front and get some 12mm for the rear

Thanks man, you can go up to 15mm at the rear on the stock rims. Might be changing the rims down the line for something with a more
aggressive offset, for now I'm happy with just the 10mm at the back.

Yup, 15mm on the rear is doable as well. I stuck to to the 12s on mine though because I'll be running 255mm tyres on the back with coilovers

Finally completed the 1st round of exterior mods now...................latest addition was a CF Performance rear fin. It compliments the wrap on the front bumper nicely.....:joy:

Any 19inch rim suggestions besides the CSL/1M reps?

I'm undecided on weather to change the stock rims as they are so easy to clean and provide a good ride. Also 19s will increase the ride height and in most cases weigh more, but the stock wheels have no concavity
at all, so would love to have something a bit more aggressive, better offsets etc but with an OEM look.

I'm a bit tied down to Google for pics now........

Think I should change the stock rims?

Wow, that looks wicked! raise: Was the car lowered? Surely wheels with those offsets would have had rubbing issues at the rear and on turning touch the inner fender lining at the front?

Nope it was not lowered,front wheels had no issues but I had to insert rubber spacers in-between the coil springs at the back so that it wouldn't touch....
