So no way will I ever agree to the comment that an rs3 is an awesome car, that is not using the word awesome correctly, or your understanding of what an awesome car is, is flawed. first off, show me any well reknowned magazine anywhere in the world who has hailed the rs3 as an awesome? you will find none.
WHat does the rs3 do, it goes quickly in a straight line - so then take that away from the rs3 and what do you have? an understeering lump of metal, a normal a3 that has a big engine, just take away one element, the 1/4 and that car will not be rmemembered by any. In contrast take a 911 Turbo or GTR, these cars van achieve that BUT have character (to compare awd cars).
So what have we said, we've said the rs3's only ability really is to deliver performance in a straight line, the joy the drivers get, is only from using LC and going fast over a quarter, or beating other cars (the replies on this thread have afirmed that), that by default means, to nejoy it and get ultimate thrill, you need to be a) launching at every robot, b) to be racing everyone all the time, without that, its nothing special.
How does the 1M differ? well you dont need to be doing any of that to enjoy the car, you just need to drive it. anywhere. to the store. to the mall. for a drive. with no cars on the road. with traffic on the road. anywhere, that car will deliver thrills. its a drivers car. a brilliant piece of machinery, that will make you feel alive, and special everytime you drive it. It doesnt need launch control or races to prove its worth, it just needs to be driven. It has the PERFECT BLEND of everything a car should have, steering feel, weight, brakes, suspension setup, throttle response, chassis response, looks - what does that mean, it delivers a FEELING, not some of the time, ALL of the time. You can take away any one element of that car, and it will still remain a brilliant car, because all areas of it are brilliant, not just one.
Awesome and Magical is a word you use on a car like a 1M.
1M - I salute you. Brilliance. Pure Brilliance.
