1M Value

I keep thinking it would be a great buy to get something like this that will increase in value, but how much will it decrease by driving it and putting mileage on it? Does mileage effect the value of these cars more than normal non limited production run cars?

Yes very much so. Therefore it is a struggle to own something you can't really "Have"

I think there's a difference between a car that isn't losing value, and one that appreciates.

The people that bought them new, saw appreciation in price. The pre-owned price is already at a premium, but, should you want to sell it, you should roughly get what you paid for it.

If it was appreciating, that means that the price would increase every year.

That said... Go for it Andy!!! Absolutely worth it.

Any thoughts on current prices for a 1m. Iirc the car cost R550k when it was launched in 2011.

I would still pay full retail price for one today with mileage. But people now want R1m in some cases.

I almost bought a 1M from BMW Bedfordview 3 weeks ago. Car was clean, 48000km. Negotiated down to R610k. But it had a R60k comment for front end accident damage. Normally I'd consider it if the damage was just bumper replace or something like that...but this one also had shocks and suspension components replaced which put me off.

Reason I walked away was because I intended on buying to garage... Not really drive it much and let the value appreciate. But the accident comment was going to hurt that.

By the way, my honest opinion is that a stock car isn't all the exciting to drive. Even though all of the reviews I've seen rave about the car... i found it kind of muted and boring. Nice car none the less.

That’s a good price. But as you say why....

I would definitely not keep it stock. At a minimum exhaust and cones and Jb4. Any future owner who looks for a 1m probably wouldn’t mind. Maybe even prefer
