If any mods can help edit out the number plate I would appreciate it. If not then I will need to pull those pics.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Update, Techno came back last week for her new RHS fender lining and a few other things.

Fender installed.

Cape Town proof. :fencelook:

Old pork chop in place however 2 tabs are broken off.

Some other things to install. CCFL rings RHS ballast died and the only way to fix it is to buy another kit, at least he has spare rings and ballast.

LHS Mangled mech out, its riveted to the door...

New mech in.

Old caked on grease needs cleaning off first, what a PITA!

Glass re-installed with new clips and new grease.

Drivers side needed an adjustment, main screw mount, insulation and grease. Both front door cards got all new OEM door clips upon re-install.

Where's the baby?

There he is!

Re-greased for smoother operation.

After completion I took it for a relaxed 20km drive, its such a pleasure to drive even for a daily, suspension is comfortable, clutch doesn't kill you, gearbox shifts well, motor has plenty poke and sounds awesome, the car is stunning to look at, it would be a privilege to own this vehicle, your brother is one lucky bastard!

i have been lucky to own both the coupe and 4door at some point but i still cant decide which is better between the two. I like the luxury and comfy of the sleeper 4door with brute power while i also like to turn heads with the coupe:YesNo:. Very nice car this is and the the Violet is a bonus

Continuing with the restoration of the car I collected it for vanos seals.

Although the engine is healthy the car was flat under 5000rpm.

This is what I found upon stripping it.

Oil pump disc was missing the retaining circlip and the black O ring cover was loose and cracked.
This is the first B32 I have seen with deep tab marks.

Exhaust solenoid had broken wires

A new unit (manufacture date 1999) was acquired and refurbed for the car.

Mr T I trust that your brother will enjoy the car.

Gizmo, Well played Sir. I commend you for the attention to details but most importantly, for stopping in the middle of the process to photograph what you doing. From my days of detailing, I can’t assure you that it’s very distracting and you require alot of patience.

The absolute same can be said for Sir Greek - Alexander :chef:

Thank you Rowen, yes it is distracting but worth it. You should see how dirty my phone is at the end of the day, lol.

Peter, thank you once again for fixing tjoon tek's increasingly more common f-ups. Shaun Sing is gonna have to fire some employees and get his hands dirty again at this rate.

It must be an incredible hack to photograph ones work, whether it be during a detail or mechanical job. But as a long time forum user, I cannot emphasize enough, how much do a difference it makes to the reader. The impression you give with a detailed, photo centric write up gives you (the vendor) the best possible chance of making a lasting impression and illustrating your attention to detail.

I can say with certainty that the vendors I have seen who take the time to photograph and write equally detailed threads always tend to accumulate a far greater rapport among the forum community compared to those who post less in depth material.

The effort is worth it. Keep it up!

Interesting you should say that, I have an E82 with me now from an unhappy client coming from said place...

I have to resonate what Rowen and Adis have said, the pics are time consuming and tough on the phone, however it makes a 5/10 thread an instant 10/10. Great work as always guys!
