1987 E28 535iM fuel pump

Hi experts, your help here will be appreciated please. My brother-in-law's 535iM is in need of a replacement fuel pump - any ideas where I could source one (new/refurbished - preferably in Gauteng)? Also if some one could advise if there are alternatives from another model that could replace it if the original is not available anywhere?

are you serious? it's not a Golf 535?

Diesel Electric or Goldwagen best bet and cheapest. Be prepared to pay from around R600 for cheap to R1200 for a good bosch unit. Check also the filter in the tank to make sure its still in place and that its not damaged and allowing dirt to get to the fuel pump. 3- 3.5 bar is all you need.

Is this the pump you are looking for? Have run it for a second or two just to make sure the pump runs, but cannot comment on the full function. Have had it for ages and cannot remember where i got it, probably stripped of a scrapped car. It is taking up space, so you can have it for free. Will need to pay postage, as i am down under in Onrus River, near Hermanus (120kms from Cape Town)
