the carting is all sorted we should arrive there at about 12:00 start the braai and maybe some of the guys can start racing while the braai gets going...
if the kids thing falls though we can always organize another run for that... its been a bit quite on that side...
lets just see what happens hopefully we can do both this run...
you cant really expect everyone to come would be great though :rollsmile:

they have a braai area so all we need if wood/coal and stuff to cook on it...
we can buy in pmb there is a shop on the offramp we take... might be better to do that because then we dont have to worry about keeping it cool...

Right so we went there yesterday afternoon.
Rough estimate, they would need 15 trees and are in desperate need of them. The teacher was really chuffed that we opted to do this.
Anyone else here has a van?
On Saturday I'm going to pick up the trees and drop them off so Sunday morning its just quick planting. Anyone has trees at home to donate? PM me as to what trees etc and we can make arrangements to collect/drop off etc.
Another thing. We need 15 bags of fertilizer. So anyone else with a van or can borrow a van because I can't make 2 trips to the home on Sat. I'm working as well. It's like R15 a bag so R225 is needed. Sponsors? PM me.
On sunday everyone carry a spade in your boot. It will make things go along a lot quicker. Also please see if you can bring along with you as many 2litre bottles as possible. The empty 2litre plastic bottles are perfect for them to irrigate the roots and saves their water. We'll make holes in the bottles and bury it next to the planted tree. They just fill water in that and water soaks down to the roots. Trees will grow better as well.
Any questions? Please get back to me with regard to trees and if someone could help with the load on Sat afternoon and cart the bags of fertilizer for me. I won't be able to load both trees and the bags of compost in the corsa.
Oh and does anyone know someone with a grass cutter/brush cutter? This is also quite vital that we get this done. The grass is so long and the place isn't kept very well so us planting trees there won't look so grand when the grass is blocking everything.
Would someone be able to organise anyone with a grass cutter to just come for an hour that morning and neaten that area up. We can't even take pics of what we've done after if the grass is that long.
