15' Audi A3 1.8Tfsi Sedan

So here she is, a 2015 A3 Sedan in Lotus Grey with 42k km on it

I wanted something small but with 4 doors looked at a few F30s (320i) and some F20s (120i) i liked the one 120i was a Mineral Grey in Msport but had finance on that was approved so went to look at a A4 and felt a little to big for me so came across the A3 Sedan when i walked back to the guys desk and I liked it.

I have done a few VCDS mods/tweaks

• Acoustic lock and Unlock
• Parking Aid Display
• Oil Temp in MFD
• Mirror dip in Reverse

Yeah, looks nice but one thing I never liked about Audi's and VW's in general is the boring interior. I like the styling somewhat.. Enjoy.

Congrats bud. These are such good looking 'little' cars.. Tried to get my dad to buy one but he ended up with the A4, which is a bit too big in hindsight.

I love the R/S3's in this shape, perfectly proportioned IMO. Only thing I am not a fan of, is the lack of leather :fencelook: Enjoy!

Good car there.

Not to be a party pooper - but please treat that s-tronic DQ200 gearbox with kid gloves. You cannot drive it like a normal auto, treat like a manual box (in terms of throttle and brake inputs, no need to change gear manually), avoid crawling traffic in hot conditions and all should be fine. Also, the torque limit on those DQ200 boxes is 280Nm, so no room for tuning in future.
As a safety check, ask Audi for a service print out on the car and see if the mechatronics unit was either recalibrated or replaced. If yes, then no worries. If not, then rather get this fixed (if it becomes an issue) before the FWP expires.

One last thing - never service your car at Audi Northcliff - they have the worst service track record of all Audi dealers in SA.
After this incident, everything went downhill:

raise:raise: RS3 and S3 Sedan will be next one day - yeah i would have liked the leather but oh well haha i like these, the other option they came out with the SE models were the alcantara seats that i would of also liked - its just not as easy to clean when dirty.

The DQ200 gearbox is a dry clutch unit. If you ride the throttle to keep the car crawling up an incline or use the throttle to hold the car at a stop, that is the equivalent of riding a clutch in a normal manual car. The clutch packs will wear out over time and you will have a huge bill to pay to replace the clutch packs, unless you have Freeway Plan. I had a DQ200 box in my TT that started giving clutch slip issues and Audi SA tried stalling tactics to rather recalibrate the mechatronnics (computer) unit, rather than replacing the clutch packs. The recalibration worked for a few days, but the clutch slip came back and the car was nearing end of plan.

If you google DQ200 and how to drive a DSG properly, that will give you a wealth of info of the dos and donts of this gearbox.

The higher performance Audis have wet clutch units that can handle abuse a bit better.

Regarding the dealership issue, yes all brands have theor bad apples, but Northcliff takes the cake for being one of the most arrogant and deceitful aftersales dealerships im SA. They have not wrecked just one car in the past 8 years, there have been many issues with this dealership. So much so, that both Audi Rivonia and Audi Sandton (dealerships where I last bought my 3 Audis from) strongly advised me to never service my car at Northcliff.

The A3 is a great car. I had bought my SO the manual 1.4TFSI SE version, but sold it when the family got bigger.
