Hi guys, looking at a 320d that has a 14k comment. Dealer says its wheel and tyre replacement, Non structural, Cosmetic repair.

Anything to be concerned about?

Thanks

R14k definitely won't be structural damage. Probably a minor repair with spray.

Thanks, dealer said wheel and tyre damage (Non structural, Cosmetic repair), i'm assuming pothole?

They put that sort of stuff under comments? Wow. If that is the case I would be concerned that nothing else was weakened.

When I bought my 320d it had a comment on ,was also cosmetic, bumper replacement, front bumper was damaged in a parking incident and replaced. Can't recall the exact amount, think its was something like R10k.

Yeah also surprised. Surely the ARC would have inspected other damages related to the wheel/tyre when they replaced?

When they do MPlan trf perhaps I could point this out to them so they could replace shock/mounts/bushes/etc if prematurely worn due to damage?

Perhaps i'm just reading too much into the comment lol

I don't believe this comment system anymore , I'm looking for a car for my brother and came across a F30 2013 Black 320i Msport with 20 000kms, at a dealer here in Dbn , No comments on the car . But if you look at that car you would think it was a rebuild , Paintwork is utter trash , non of the body panels are aligned , the bonnet is complacently out of shape. And the interior was so worn out , it puts my 348 000km E30 to shame .

I cant believe they would actually sell a car like that as an approved used model. you would think that after evaluating a car like that they would pull it off its motorplan and deal with it properly , Yet its sold as this.

14k shouldn't be anything major at all considering the prices approved repair centres charge.

This is worrying, report this dealer if its so clear that the vehicle has had previous work done on it, :RedNo: Not acceptable!

they replaced a rear door oj kine for r15.5k. to give an idea of cost vs damage.

to see a comment isnt necessarily a bad thing, it means the car was fixed by a bmw aproved panelbeater which are thorough.

And if the car is still under motorplan its their crap if you see problems with a repair. a payment was paid for a premium repair j9b to allow the car to stay on motorplan thefefore motorplan must still cover everything.

Be very careful if your gut tells you to walk.. walk.. it might 'have' an active plan now but drive it off that floor and it becomes your problem..
