Hey Guys

so... its time to change my rear tyres. iv done about 14k on them and have a little thread left. thought i rather be safe than sorry and change them before the upcoming winter.

i currently have the OEM ones, bridgestone RE050 245/35/R18 run flats.

im only changing the rears so i dont wanna upsize all four tyres (which seems to be the best setup).

whats the best tyres money can buy?

245/35/18 Run Flats?

Pirelli P-Zero?? continental sport contact 5? or the bridgestone RE050?

Thanks!

Hey bud, I just replaced my back tyres and I went with the oem setup (bridgestones), purely because I had significant tread left on the front tyres and did not want to mix my tyres up. I am happy with them so far. My next set of tyres I think I will got for Non rft's.

I've got Pirelli P-Zeros runflats and I'm very happy with them. Prefer them to the Bridgestones to be honest.

Michelin's are often regarded as the best tyre you can buy. Look for: Pilot Sport 2 (runflat) or Pilot Super Sport (normal)

Thanks guys!

i would love the PS2/S's... 225/40/18 and 255/35/18. but thats when i replace all four tyres.

its fine to have pirelli's in the rear and leave the current OEM bridgestones in the front? thread is still fine there

definitely Michelin Pilot sport 3 for the best that you can buy but not for value for money..
Bridgestone Potenzas would be second on my list..
Pirellis are awesome, I had them for a while on my 130. really good grip and excellent ride comfort. but the trade off is that they finish quick, very quick... i think i managed 10k on my Pirellis, if that..
the rep told me theyre a softer compound more suited to european conditions in comparisons to countries with a hot climate.
i have a 135 now, just replaced the back with Bridgestones the other day. the previous set I got at least 20k on and they have really good grip.
i think Bardens has a special on them at the moment, R3200 each..
