135i Sound Options

Hi Fanatics

I am looking at upgrading the sound in my 135i, but want everything to look stock hence I dont want a sub in the boot with amp etc.

Was thinking of changing the front speakers to a split system and upgrading the subs under the seat with amp. Will this work? has anyone done a similar install? what other options do I have? and what products will fit?

Thanks

depending how much you want to spend, you can get a decent sounding system.

ground zero makes an upgrade kit for the 3 series, but i have seen them being fitted into the 1 and 5 series.

That will give a decent improvement on your highs and lows. Amplifying this kit with a small footprint amp like a jl audio 400/4 or similar will really make them sound good.

There are also options from Gladen and MB Quart, but they would probably have to be imported.

Dont take it the wrong way, but unless you are looking at spending over 10k dont expect the speakers under the seats to play lower frequencies as well as a sub.

You can also get the alpine upgrade from BMW , which consists of a set of splits and upgraded amp.... Plug and play and Motorplan friendly.
