135i N55 Intake systems

Hey.. what intake would you consider to be the best in terms
of sound and performance? or maybe a replacement filter?
I have the N55 motor in my E82. Do you have anything available?

what do you think of the bmw performance intake?
it looks good though. :dunno:

the intakes dont really add much, if anything, in terms of performance
They do look good when opening the bonnet, and the sound is great..
Will have to check whats available for the n55

@GK 1...your picture is the performance intake for the 330....as far as i know there is no BMW OEM performance intake available for the N54/N55 yet.

I have three different filters available from Rennzport...
1. The single cone intake
2. Dual cone intake
3. Drop in filter

If you want to view them in person PM me and we can arrange to meet in Cape Town and also see if it will fit on the N55....i think the drop in will fit your car but lets see, it should take a couple of minutes.

The debate about the "best" filter or stock filter vs performance filters will always go on....Do they add power? Do they lower temps? Do they make the car breathe easier? You will get different answers to this.

My own experience: When you run a tune your car will beg for a bigger/better filter; and that is where the BMS filters make a difference compared to stock; that you can hear and feel at higher rpms.
