135i N54 bms backend flash help

Hey all :rollsmile:

New to the forum just wanted to know if anyone can help with bms backend flashes, dont see why i need to pay 5000 for a file that is free on n54 tech, i know you need an access port tool but im only looking to flash the car once . Any help on cheaper alternatives would be great.

Btw im in Gauteng sandton area

Shadowline, the BMS backend flash is free correct, but you would probably need MHD (from Playstore) and OBD cable to flash the ECU. This is also on the proviso you have JB4 unit installed?

Everyone is using the MHD flasher for N54 available from the google play store. I think you just need the MHD OBD cable, which you can check with forum advertisers for and you can then start flashing.

Thanks for the replies, yes have jb4 installed but running into problems with NLS 2step as its maxing fuel trims, burger reckons you need backend flash to use it. Cool thanks for the info, will look out for an OBD cable.

Just get the APP as it ties in with you VIN number. If you in JHB/PTA area, I can always help you with a cable.

Found DCAN cable and just used MHD, car is running great. Thanks again for the info!
