135i DCT BMW Software / DME

Hi All

I'm not so clued up on the 'DME' software and updates for the 135i N55 - can anyone explain to me more re how the updates work and how one knows if you on the best / latest software?

I also heard that BM can adjust the ECU software for quicker accelerator response times - is this true?

The bmw software is a piec o shit ! Haha ... I hav it and its not even worth it

Your car will be updated with the latest software when it goes for the next service. You can ask your dealership to check for the latest software on your car.

My car ran smoother after the update and the HPFP fuel pump seemed to perform better as well. :thumbs:

So there isn't really something which you can request to quicken up engine accelerator response times...?

You can ask what performance upgrades they have. Normally software and exhaust. But you are going to pay an arm and a leg for those....and it isnt as good as aftermarket mapping....
