Hi guys, I want to find out if my motor plan will be affected if I swap my black seats with red seats from another 135i?

I would say if the dealer does the swop it should be OK but if you do it it might be a problem.

They fitted a steering wheel for me and told me it is 100% MP safe.

Seats should not be a problem, call BMW SA MP Division and ask them if you can and have them mail it to you in writing.

My understanding on this is this:

If you change something on your car “seat” and your safety belt light stops working and they know you changed them they will not pay.

If there is a airbag in the seat, you will have MP problems.

Technically speaking yes.

But for the love of cheese, nobody is going to pick that up. If you do not molest a wiring harness in the process, your good to go.

There are no airbags in the seats, but there are pre-tentioners on the seat, 1 on the passenger, and 2 on the drivers ( if memeory serves)

You can use the pre-tentioners that came on your seat, so the serial numbers and stuff will match, but just disconnect the battery, else you will have an airbag light, and unless you have a connection, your going to need to explain yourself.
