135i Boot spoiler

Hi,

Why do some 135's have the boot lip/ spoiler and others not? Did it come as an extra or only with certain models like the m-sportspack?

@viven: Are you referring to the carbon fiber boot lip or the plastic, body colour one?

The carbon one is an optional OEM (or aftermarket) extra while the plastic one should be on all 135i's.

I was referring to the plastic body colour one. I been looking at 135's on autotrader and saw one or two without it. I assume that those cars probably had some spray work done.

Not sure.... speaking from experience with an e60 msport, the boot lip spoiler was an additional cost option, was not std even with the msport pack. Earlier models (e46/e39) with individual or msport packs had the spoiler included.....

I have a spare 2nd hand E82 135i OEM boot spoiler laying in my garage. any idea how much I can get for it?

The 2008-2011 135i coupes did not come with the boot spoiler but the 2012-2013 135is came with them.

The bootlids are also different between 08-11 ones and the 12-13 ones, the 08-11ones do not have a spoiler and curve upwards more whereas the 12-13 ones have a spoiler and the boot does not curve upwards.

Can anybody tell me if I take the stock spoiler off a 2013 135i and replace it with an aftermarket 2011 135i carbon spoiler, will it fit correctly?

Any idea where one could find a plastic or decent fibreglass high kick/motorsport spoiler from? Don't feel like paying an arm and a leg for the carbon ones.
