I would do some more research on the cars, it’s widely available if you spend more than 2mins googling.

M-sport have different front and rear bumpers, and have side skirts.

Wheels are bespoke as well, either 17in or 18in.

Suspension changed too, if I recall correctly it’s 15mm lower than standard.

There’s different trim inside as well. And lookout for the M-badges on the gear lever (Manual) and the steering wheel.

Then there’s additional sport items which could be added onto a base m-sport package, such as anthracite roof lining, honeycomb interior trim etc.

the biggest giveaway for me is are the seats, the Msports have the inflatable bolsters, and extendable under thigh support, and its the most expensive and overlooked part of doing an Msport conversion and therefore never done from what I've seen!

The other option is to pop the vin into a decoder and see what comes up, or call any BMW with the vin and ask them.

So today I went to go view a black msport that's for sale on Gumtree for R114k. Noticed an oil leak in the engine bay, looks like power steering leak.I can't find a way to upload the photos here. The front bumper and side skirt is cracked. Not too sure but this one. Will check elsewhere. If you guys know anyone selling pls let me know.

or an e82 125i, same motor. chip it, 130i spec in an e82.
i got an auto/steptronic/paddles. no regrets, manual is for labourers hahahaha.

I found a auto 3 door in jhb, my mates tell me the auto is slow n boring. Have u driven them manual to be able to confirm this? U based in cpt?

i dont think its slow.....revs to 7000 in gear, you can't over rev the engine so you not going to damage anything. put it in d/s, pull a paddle and you're in manual mode. why change gears? traffic is a headache. go check the auto. nothing wrong with them.

i can meet up with you, but mine is a 125i, so same 3.0L motor, but detuned. also my car is a coupe, not the hatchback. so the front looks the same, and the dash. but the rest you can imagine.
