125i water usage

The SO's 125i is using plenty of water.

I have checked everywhere for water leaks and also removed the belly pan so check everyday if there is no water under the car.

Its mostly when she uses the aircon. We have to fill up the water reservoir every morning otherwise the fluid warning light comes on.

There is no performance difference on the car, so I doubt its head gasket.

Any Ideas please guys? this has me stumped.

If it's escaping at that rate surely you'd be able to identify a leak location while the car is idling with a torch? Let the car idle and get up to operating temperature and pressure and then start investigating. Hope you've got green antifreeze in the cooling system because that makes it a lot easier to identify a leak in the cooling system. You should be able to remove the airbox to get better access with a torch. What's the mileage and when last was the water pump and thermostat replaced?

When the 335 was losing water it was the radiator. No signs of water but it had leak which was concealed and lost the water while driving. As soon as it was parked the leak stopped due to the pressure.

There's a Silverton in Krugersdorp. Why not just get the cooling system pressure tested to find the leak. The cooling system should not be losing water.

In the interim when topping up, try using ordinary coolant answer coolant acts as a sealer compared to normal water.

That is just until u find the leak fix and flush.

Hi Guys

Found the water leak at last, its leaking from the crimping on the plastic end tanks on the radiator. Will remove it and send to silverton to fit a new tank.
