120d recently out of M/P any advice on mods

Hi guys soo my car has sadly expired its motor plan sooo the good thing about this i can finally do some mods...
I currently do alot of milage and would like to just to some small noticeable mods to the car....
Its a 120d e82
Currently its just got a twin tail peice hahaha and thats about the only mod...
I was thinking of a downpipe and mayby induction...
Any advice on whats the best products to use.....im based in durban.

Lol miranderee the thng is since im off motorplan im abit scepticle about putting my engine at risk ......as much as people say it is safe i would rather not take my chancea lol unfortunately its my daily runner soo really cant afford to have it being broke now and then.....
I actually do about 4-5k kms a month soo i really would like just small thngs.....iv always preffered astetics to performance.
No lie thos these lil 120ds have alot of getup and go i love it and the fuel economy is on par...just lovely!
But i will consider software as soon as i get another car then this vehicle can be abit of a toy for me.

Bud to be honest, the above mentioned two mods wont net you much with doing software to take advantage of it.

Also, i dont know if the N54 intercooler will fit the 120D (cant see why it wont fit)
But the N54 intercooler is a nice upgrade alot of the 3 series guys fit.

doing software on a diesel does neccesarily mean you are shortening its life span. you dont always have to tune for excessive power. A good tuning company will not increase boost significantly and would rather play with fuel mixtures . If you are doing 4-5k per month you should be concerned with maintenance that bmw didnt do.

what is your mileage? when last was the fuel filter changed? gearbox service? brake fluid change?

If its Auto then do a gearbox service before you start modding.

As for intake...Scratch that of the list.
