I'm in need of your wisdom. The PS pump on my 120d seems to be whining.
I blew/killed my previous PS pump about a year ago, I replaced it with a Goldwagen part (I was told that they're just as good), but the whine remained.....
Yesterday, while at the skid pan, I lost the power steering for about a 30 seconds and then it came back, but the whine is much louder now.
My question is, do I need to replace it? Considering that it is working? Is it possible that something else is causing the whine?
If I replace it, is there a reputable alternative to the OEM?
