120d New guy

Hey guys

great to be on the forum and cant waiting to get to know all of you.

recently just purchased a 2009 120d and loving it. just wanted to ask a quick Q, the kms are 80 000, the service/maintenance plan is till 105 000kms (increased by 5000km by dealer) and ends 2014 on original purchase, the dealer has increases the year to 2015 for the above. the next service is in 7000km and obvioulsy the last one is 15 000km later. would you guys be happy with this is if it was your cars deal? dealer charged to increase kms and to 2015 for +-R12 500.

Welcome and congrats on the car, they're awesome machines :=):

The dealer would (should) have asked you if you wanted to increase it and you would have had to sign as well for the increase... I personally wouldn't have gone for it as the extra year at R12500 is mad, I do a lot of mileage in mine and have it serviced around 3 times a year at Ross Duncan, and all 3 services don't add up to R12500... never mind the R25000 my dealer wanted to charge me to extend MP...

I wouldn't have been happy with the dealer just sommer adding it in... But if you're happy, then just enjoy the car with the peace of mind that until 2015 they replace whatever could go wrong...
