heya guys

I just bought an e87 1 series. seems to be moving quite nicely.
Its got 105000km, cant find service history as the owner misplaced it, if any one works at a dealership please pm me if you can check the service history for me.

the airbag light is on, runflats and the spark plug and coil light was also on. i notice that its not on anymore. The car was lying for a bit and the battery was dead- had that replaced. I think this could have resulted in some errors showing up.

I need the car serviced and checked back to front. I usually go to tune tech and they are great but some times i find them to be a bit expensive.

If you know of any great bmw home mech's, please let me know?

I'm in the north of JHB so if there is anyone around this area, please do let me know. I can gurantee repeat business.

Thanks guys, hope to show up the next meet my E87

BTW if anyone is interested i have an m sport e92 320i coupe that i need to sell in the next month or 2.

any help appreciated....

I had a 118 for over 3 years, and loved it
it had over 200,000km when i sold but fuel consumption was still at 7.0l/100km and never had a days trouble.

if i were you send it to the agents, services are not bad at all because they are conditioned based, except for brakes and runflat tyres i found that servicing was very reasonable.
also the dealership normally gives you a quote before they go ahead.
and youl get your print out from when car was on motorplan.

awesome buddy , Thanks for the advice.

I found i have this funny issue now, the passenger carpet and rear footwell carpet is soaked because of the rain. The seats are dry but the carpets were soaked,. i see the water is coming from behind the cubby?
any one ever have this issue? its driving me nuts and the car smells like dead animal.

was the car involved in a prior accident?
BMW build quality is usually exceptional, so i doubt that had it not been in an accident it would leak.
or maybe it could just be a worn seal or rubbers...

Hi

It wasnt in accident in the front. I have googled it and it seems like a common issue but fault finding is the issue.

I wouldnt take the car to the dealer, some people have been quoted R1800 for an oil change. I pay just over R900 with oil flush which the dealer probably wont do.

Find a reputable mech. Buy the service items from the dealer. And have the mech do the service.
