Not much to update besides a even bigger charger. :fencelook:

FFS dude, you don't just start an epic thread like this then leave us all lying in a puddle of our own drool dammit:fishwack:

Send them updates:inlove:

why the larger charger?

More power. The 3.0L is slightly over spun to compensate for altitude losses at the power level I am happy at and it wont make the 1000bhp up here. The 3.3L is available and fits onto the existing charge cooler with slight mods, I just got to figure out belt lengths etc as it requires 10 rib pulleys vs the 8 I have now.

thought it was probably an efficiency thing at the power level you want :)

do you really need 10 rib for your application? if not i would just change the pulley to 8 rather than mess with the crank pulley...

Whoever stayed on 8 rib had slippage problems. Going to need to make a new crank pulley regardless as the aircon needs a separate drive. The belts available are in very limited sizes.

Yet no DYNO sheet. Have you tried to dyno the beast after the installation of the charger? The you tube acceleration doesn't proof much.
BTW. leave the 10 rib idea. Go cog belt drive. The INTERNET shops obviously wont offer you such luxury, but many engineering shops may.

I got nothing to prove. Went on the dyno with run in boost, the car has no tow hinge in the back, at 500whp it started spinning.
I cannot use a cog because the belt around the charger drives quite a few ancillaries.
When I think its time will run the car on a hub dyno at Nxgen to get a idea of where I am at.

You can build all pulleys to run with the cog belt! I've seen that on the 1UZ. In that case you will never have a slippage! BTW there is a engineering company in Aussie I think that makes cog kits, all you do is send them your original pulleys and give them your belt length.

That's pretty awesome. I must check what belt sizes are available.

Yeah. At least that's what I would do if was building supercharged V8. Will look proper too! I'll check for a web address for you so you can see for yourself. They can get any length belt.

I would like to see some more pics of this car.
You need to get a photographer to capture this car.

UPDATES???:fencelook::fencelook::fencelook::fencelook::fencelook:

Nothing much has happened since I took on the JB Golf project. Its taken a back burner now. I take it for a spin now and then just to keep the discs nice and clean. Its always a great event.
