Paul Walker Tribute Run, Johannesburg Stoneridge Mall, 4 December 2013​

MASSIVE THANKS to MrTwinkles for organizing this meet, It was def a special night and one which I will always remember. :thumbs:
A while after I heard the tragic news a tribute run crossed my mind, but honestly could not imagine one happening here in SA. raise:

Was a great turnout > 60,70 Cars from all marques (AudiClub, BMWFanatics, VWCSA, RSClub, OPC Club, I'm sure a few other clubs represented on the night?), all came to show their respect and love for a genuine petrolhead who assisted in shaping a generation of car enthusiasts worldwide.
He obviously was more than Brian 'o Connor, I personally admired him for his humanitarian work, his love for marine biology, his outlook on fitness and obviously his love for cars.
It's crazy the amount of time we spend talking about cars, the Carrera GT is prob my ultimate dream car but in light of a situation like this, not one thought or emotion is conveyed to the car, it becomes immaterial.......
Being an automotive enthusiast we related strongly with this loss, that was clearly displayed on the night :-(



We met @ the Stoneridge Mall parking lot, a prayer was said and a moment of silence was observed. We then proceeded convoy style to do a lap of honor around JHB...

RIP Paul Walker, You are a Hero for me and for millions, I'm sure he will continue to inspire and his Legend will carry on forever....
