Hi Guys,

Recently replaced clutch and flywheel of my 330ci 2004. After a while a vibration started to occur above say 80km.Pulled off the propshaft and this part is worn (see pic). I need to replace it. It comes from the end of the propshaft - inside it sits 6 ball bearings.

1. Can you please tell me what its called (searching the net but cant find it)?

2. Where are the marks on the propshaft to properly align it ?

3. Theres a knocking sound when changing in and out of gears, I checked the mountings and the flex disc, all seems fine. Would this part also be the cause of that

thanks so much. PS I'm in durban - so if you know where I could get a good quality replacement for this part without going in to the stealership. I would be grateful.

thanks

hi

thanks for the reply,

This part is at the back end of the propshaft/diff. on realm its not even labeled (my luck). it holds six large ball bearings.

The guibo looks fine. After the clutch and flywheel change the car was fine for a few days then the vibration started.

thanks for the replies :)

Okay, then probably the wrong version selected, is this the CI, just the coupe, or the convertible?

thats the part that bolts to the Diff correct?

its ether called a CV or universal joint... but that does not really matter go to a CV joint place with the part and get a new one tell them its the one for the prop shaft... if they cant help you will have to get from BMW...
