Here is the first pic that some of you may recognize.
My 'new' 10/1996 E36 328i Coupe. German Built.
The day I saw this car I just knew it had to be mine just because it is so scarce and I have been wanting a 328i anyway.
Big thanks to LZ for checking the car out for me.
Thanks to Chris and Don for putting up with all my questions.
So on Saturday (Yesterday) a friend and I flew up to Johannesburg to look at the car and make a final decision.
She is far from cosmetically perfect but she is no dog either. Mechanically she is amazing. Smooth engine and gearbox.
Sorry Sank and Legacy, Still an auto but it's days are numbered, it will be swapped to manual someday.
After a long deciding process I finally decided I will take it and we stated the drive back to Cape Town.
The drive was fantastic, except for a MAF problem that developed before passing Bloemfontein, will need to replace that.
Something that really shocked me was the economy of this car. On a tank I got 700km before I decided to fill up and there was still 100km range left.
We were doing about 7.2-7.4l/100km with a speed of around 110 - 130kph.
She has just under 110000 miles on her now.
Enjoy the pictures, I will post interior shots sometime this week.
A couple pics from the road.
When we pulled into this garage is when we discovered the MAF issue. Was scary.
Pic from home, parked next to my sedan which is now for sale.
A few photo's parked next to my friends 325ci. Thats the car I got the vent pic from moranor.
Thats all for now.
