Supra 2jz-gte engine in an e36

gents just a question that has been playing on my mind, ive been reading up a lot on the supra conversion. some of them make 700bhp. Has anyone on the forum heard about this or done it? what are your thoughts?

My friend just finished his, dynod 690whp on pump fuel and can go up to 900 on e85 but has to swop his injectors with the 1600s! Pretty easy to do and find parts! Ill ask him to post his build, he documented everything!!!

Motor replacements are a dime a dozen as well..

I priced a M52 single Vanos 328 motor the other day at Jap auto, 16k...

After I stopped laughing and regained composure, I remembered that a 2jz engine is going for like 5k and some change...10k if you rebuild it turbo spec....

Thats why these things are so popular.

serious? cant be that cheap

an import M52 you might pay 16k for but locally you can get those motors for under 10k.

M50 motors go for 5k as well.

Lexus V8 motors + gearbox is going for something like R5250.00.....nice M3 in that conversion,know the guys drifting do these conversions....:rollsmile:
