Could this maybe be a case of people preferring to buy the Z4 coupe (Supra) instead of the roadster?

I have to agree - it's a great looking car, especially in red - very underrated imo.

I don't think it did too badly - I've seen many of them driving around. If anything, more so than Supras. The nature of these cars make them inherently 'low volume' and being similarly priced to the Boxster for most of it's run also couldn't have helped I guess.

I think you have to see some of the colours in person too - the pics don't do the car justice or the colours... Even the (I think) Milano Blue looks much better in person
