This sounds like an amazing offer from a dealer, which looks like you have no history with.
One would assume they saw something that makes you both win... i.e. car is mechanically good while giving you peace of mind
especially coming from the M6 ordeal

R8 NA FTW

Awesome stuff General!

I did the same, I paid R7k to extend the service plan for 3 years. I'm going to do it again soon as it really is worth it.

R8 V10+ FTW!!

nice to know, it definately does seem worth it from a cost perspective.

With regards to the R8, it will just be a test drive to see what it feelsl like, im still far away from being able to afford one hahaha

I drove the first gen R-Tronic V10 and the gated-manual V8

Such beauties.
Yea ive always wanted to get behicd the wheel of any R8.
There is a guy on Youtube that drove his 1st Gen R8 V8 on a 5000 mile trip to Alaska from Ohio i think, and another 5000 miles back. Was quite a drive.

So I know this has been the quieter of my Fanatics threads, as I wanted to really just leave this car stock.

Well the one gripe I had with it was the wheels, was never a fan of the RS6 style allows that came with the car.

So I did some research and I knew I wanted a specific set of wheels, and found them.
OZ Superturismo 19" wheels.

I wanted them in a specific colour too, so I did some digging and found the Satin Aurum Gold paint code: OP9 from Porsche

Managed to get the colour mixed at Cape Auto Paints

And then dropped the rims off for refurb and respray at The Mag Workshop in Paarden Eiland, Mitch did a sterling job.

And then just coz we were on the AI model car situation, I thought why not, and spat this out:

Ive managed to find a set of Black centre caps from Temu which ive fitted, along with aluminium OZ Racing valve caps.

Now the car can chill as is for as long as I feel to get bored, but she drives well, so reason to make any changes.

Yea a drip would honestly make the world of difference, but dont want to risk knocking the front lip etc, so even though ive looked into springs. I may not go through with it

On the mags topic, what did the paint mix cost you if I may ask? I want to get mine done in Brushed Candy Copper soon and if Cape Auto Paint can do it, it saves me so much time trying to source a place.

Just my 2c. The white car looks stunning with the gold rims, but now the mirror color looks as if it doesn't belong as everything else besides the wheels are body color.
Funny enough i looked at tis yesterday and thought the same thing. but, cant be arsed right now to do anything about it lol

This cost me R531 for 1 litre at Cape Auto Paints, mixed and while i wait.
The paint shop used 3/4 of the tin to do the 4 wheels, so i have spare for touch ups if needed.
