Thanks for the positive feedback guys.

NB :
Purists and M owners please look away....lol

Our manufacturer abroad asked us to be the guinea pig on a new kit they developed for the G01 pre lci, to convert it to an LCI ........X3m

Kit involved the following :

- Headlights
- Tailights
- Front Bumper
- Cancellors for fog lights
- Wheel arch trims front and rear
- Side skirts
- Rear Bumper
- Rear Diffuser
- Quad Exhaust tips
- Kidney grills

Being the tinkering type, I said hell yeah lets try it!

Items that I needed to source to complete the look was F97 X3m roof lid, and I wanted the Optional Mesh design rim, so I started hunting for those.

Kit took 2 months to arrive and 6 weeks to get it all done, sprayed, etc.

I had some clear coat damage on bonnet due to car port chemical damage at the recent holiday venue I visited. Decided to respray the bonnet as well.

The previous owner did some horrendus PDR repairs on the boot, which was only visible at some angles, so I got that done properly as well.

Before completion, we ran into an issue with the new headlights not being compatible due to the bumper being for a pre lci, and the headlights an lci model.

This issue, unfortunately, will only be resolved in 2 months' time when a replacement bumper arrives.

Once we collected, it was off to TMSS to get the exhaust recentered for the new X3M lci diffuser and a set of 101mm burnt titanium look tailpieces. These replaced the carbon 90mm M perf tailpieces.

The swirls on the entire car drove me insane, and 3 weeks later, I decided to tackle it myself as I couldn't send it in for a professional detail.

Broke out the detailing DA polisher, some cutting, polishing pads and 3D 510 and 520 compounds.

Prepping involved : (no pics, unfortunately)
1. Prerinse folowing by ph neutral snowfoam
2. Then iron out sprayed over entire car
3. 3 bucket wash method
4. Clay bared the entire car
5. Another round of snowfoam and rinced off
6. I parked into the Glassbox for the tough work, and at my age, my back doesn't like it

Some before pics so you can see what i was dealing with.

Brilliant as usual Firi! 😍

Well done.

Epic results on the paint correction as well 😎

Personally not a fan of diamond grilles and think the dual slat will suit the M kit so much better 👌
