Hey keyboard ninja, your post really annoyed me.

I run a business, my work and personel vehicles park at my home, so if i post my business name or my vehicles its quiet easy via social engineering for criminals to come to me instead of been a victim of chance, and yes it has happened.

When you have to wash the blood of your employee of your driveway maybe your tune will change.

So if you think im a parasite for not posting pics well then you sir are moron.
The observation made by the previous poster was just that.

Your response other than for its spelling errors and syntax murder is out of line.
Prefacing an insult with sir does little to cushion it.

Blanking out the number plate goes a long way to making the car anonymous.

Besides when you drive around with your enterprise name emblazoned over the car any individual with ulterior motives can trace you.

What a weak nonsensical post and in addition if the cap fits do not blame someone else!

All of these are uncalled for..

1. In your own words, you don't mind posting but only if it is a thread relating to a "sale".
2. Like Peter said, you can always use the same safety mechanisms you'd normally engage in a "sale" thread. Take pics at a neutral place, block out plates etc..
3. Sorry that you were a victim of a crime. I hope you will seek help to deal with the ordeal and heal.. Most of us have been victims of crime at some point..
4. Having said that, there is no need to use that unfortunate event where it doesn't fit. I understand the need to take precautions, but double standards will be called out for what they are..
5. I understand it is not easy to be called out, especially on a public platform. I think you are mostly annoyed by being held to account on your statement, than anything else.
6. Your cars, your rules, your privacy, your life.. Do what you deem fit for yourself. You don't even have to justify it to anyone.. Own it..

I struggle to see the risk in posting my numberplate on this forum...maybe someone can explain it to me?

My numberplate is on display every time my car leaves my house, what difference does it make if some people on the internet also see it?

Same logic would apply to my business...surely some extra eyes on the forum is actually free marketing? Unless you run a business like Eskom where you actually want less customers?

On a side note, my puny little brain fails to see the connection between a dead employee and a Chev Lumina, even if it is a manual...they really are not that desirable/valuable
