Hi guys I want to go about stitch welding my car's seams and weld in reinforcement plates. I want to ask for advice as how to do rust protection/prevention and sealing the seams again. How would you do it and what products would you use?
Because after welding the seams i know the cars body would be compromised...

You'll need a good weldable/weld-through primer to spray on before you start stitch welding. The reinforcements you can spray on both sides before welding in. Obviously some panels are impossible to get behind so that is what it is. If you want to seal the seams after, then just use an automotive seam sealer and apply/spread it as per factory to achieve the same finish.

Assuming this is for a race car?
