In the last 6 months or so, a Saffa opened up a wheel repair shop in Dubai and i have been meaning to get the BBS wheels painted a lighter colour. The reason for me purchasing a second set of wheels was so i have the flexibility of changing the wheels to keep me mobile (especially now that the M3 is sitting at a showroom for sale) - i cannot have a car down.
Anyways, 2 weeks ago i dropped off my set of black BBS CH wheels at Xpress Rim Repair in Dubai and told them take their time as i wanted to rock the Clubsport wheels for a bit. The next day, i got pics of the wheels x-ray'd and given the thumbs up. Then a day later, i got pics of them paint stripped and primered. A day later, powder coated and then the lip was diamond cut. The next day, clear was layed and the wheels were done.
Excited much saw me take the day off from work and drive to Dubai to get them fitted.
What you think?

Opted for a Porsche wheel color, with a slight twist to the undertones and made them satin finish instead of gloss. I didnt expect this to turn out this good...
Thanks bru!Naaice!
The OEM grille gives a nice match-up to the BBS centre caps...even thought I am a die-hard lover of gloss black EVERYTHING lol
Ja them too...oops!Thanks bru!
And the brake calipers.
As if this car could not get any better ... it just did. While I was reading your last post with the photoshoot, i was just going to say that the first pic from the back makes the car look high still and the M on air doesnt help the cause either. But now...you did exactly was I was hoping for, the GTi is complete now from outside.Been a while! Lots has happened... Some not so noticeable but really important!
I have been noticing white smoke on pull away for a few weeks and with the car nearing 220k km, Tazo advised to get the turbo checked. Being the daily, i didn't want too much downtime i bought a stock turbo and just got it replaced.
At the same time, Tazo noticed an oil leak at the oil filter housing and a water leak near the heater core.
Got all that done at the same time. No pics to show though!
So while the car was at Tazo getting these items looked at, Tazo installed the new Valeo tail-lights and a new third brake light. The old one had some dead globes and dirt inside, so we opted to just get a new one!

You may notice a sneaky something in the boot...

Yes!! While the car was at Tazo, Airlift was commissioned and the boot setup done too. This is Tazos work, i left the car and when he asked me what did i want in the boot setup i said, "Surprise Me!" and boy did he do just that...

Thanks!Incredible updates as always! Like how he incorporated the GTI fabric in the setup.
