🤣 🤣Did not see them this morning either
@70007 , if you see a weirdo doing b-rolls and weird photo shots of your car, calm down, it's me, for the culture![]()
Congrats dude!🤣 🤣
Let me see if this works, haven't had much time to take photos yet:
Thanks, yes the idea is to black-out the grill surrounds, BMW wanted R6500 to spray them black, so I said I'll rather sort it out myself.Congrats dude!
Looks great!
Get in touch with @///M Individual - he had those fronts grills in black for LCi for sale. Your has even black mirrors and if you want to finish the front end then he had those OEM grilles for cheap.
Awesome, he had the OEM grilled for R1000, good luck dudeThanks, yes the idea is to black-out the grill surrounds, BMW wanted R6500 to spray them black, so I said I'll rather sort it out myself.
Looks great man! Congrats! How's the whole driving experience compared to the 340?🤣 🤣

Looks great! For interest sake what optional extras does it have?
Also curious to hear how it drives compared to the 340i, especially in terms of the handling and how planted it feels when going around corners at speed... If you've had a chance to play a bit yet.
The 50i uses Gummy beary happy juice bro.So I am amazingly in the same boat. Ive been looking at the 30d X5 G05, but then as you guys saw in the WBC thread found a X5 M50d and was amazed at the fuel economy but also the torque.
I've only ever owned 2 liter petrols and diesels.
I drive about 500 kms a month, some months 300, but some months I may drive to the coast.
I have been searching for a car with the right extras and price and coming up blank, but have found an X5 m50i cheaper than what I can buy an m50d for with same specs.
Am i going to be paying through my ears for fuel?
That all depends on how lead-footed you are. You can get decent fuel economy out of any car with a ton of oomph if you drive like you're on a Sunday stroll. But let’s be honest… nobody buys a beast like this to sip gas and behave. You buy it to make questionable life choices at high speeds.Am i going to be paying through my ears for fuel?
Starting to think that weekend turned into a full-blown sabbaticalI’ll put something together when I have some time, maybe over the weekend. We’ll chat again.
Do the 50i, every BMW comes with risksThis is what boggles me, People are telling me the resale on these m50ds will be lower in time with the complexity associated with the turbos and the DPF leaks etc versus the 4.4l V8 which while im told will be costly, will be less than the diesel, or am I missing something.
I am in the process of signing papers, so save me from myself if I need saving.
apparently the diesel injectors and quad turbos on the 50d add risk?
@FiRi@Rennzport why are you like this HazrathDo the 50i, every BMW comes with risks![]()
Brother....I am also on the 3rd diesel in a row so I get the reliability story very well.@FiRi@Rennzport why are you like this Hazrath![]()
I havent heard anything about unreliability on these engines(the 4.4l V8).
I guess I know diesel engines well, I have had 3 diesels in a row, and I dont know what drama lies ahead with a petrol. I am told theyre as robust in the V8 variants as they are in the 2.0 albeit with much more performance on tap.
I am probably going to be lead footed with this thing at first, but as i have gotten older the more reasonable side of me takes over quickly and this thrashy behaviour of flooring it all the time will go away after 2 weeks, and then it will just be another car.
Can someone who has owned a 4.4l v8 chime in?
owning an e70 X5///M. Mine has the S63 engine, The one you "want" to buy has the N63. Base is the same par some performance differences between the two. They can be reliable, depending on service/maintenance history. They are fuel guzzlers. mine on average between 5-7 Km per liter. If the service history is bad, i would stay away from it. Hell fun to drive, if you can find a decent X5///M they about 100 Kw more power than the "50"( one sold this week at WBC for 188, cheap and in good nick). You can read my story on the X here . https://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/threads/owning-an-e70-x5-m.99155/@FiRi@Rennzport why are you like this Hazrath
