technical E90 Battery Issue

Hi Fanatics,

I need some help with this issue I am experiencing. My LCI E90 went in for some work and I got the car back after a month.

I used the car for a week or two with no issues. Tried to start it up one morning for work and the battery was dead, I jumped the car using the terminals in the front and went to a battery shop. They tested and said the battery was good, it required a charge as it was parked for some time. Charged it at the battery shop, collected it after 2 days and fitted it back into the car. Used the car for two weeks with no issues. I travelled for two days for work and the car was parked off. Came back on the third day and same problem, battery dead.

Could it be the battery or is there something else that could be causing this? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks All

I have the same issue(2010-323i), put in a new battery Dec 2024. Parked it the other night, in the morning nothing no lights coming on when you open the car. Had to jump to get the boot open, guys came out put in a loan battery car started fine. This morning same thing. Being doing research to see what the fix could be, will get the voltage and alternator checked first and then maybe off to the mechanic.

Hi Bud,

It turned out to be my battery, had two places test it and they said it was fine. The third place eventually removed the battery and it was leaking acid. Replaced the battery and everything is sorted now.

I hope you get it sorted.
