What type of mileage are you doing to even be considering this?

My cousin owns a lubrication aupply company and can blend any variant of oil, which is what i suspect these guys are doing.
Branded used oil drums are very easy to aquire. What they do not have though is the additives that most modern turbo engines require.

Oil quality is critical for longevity of the engine.

Rather be safe than sorry. The extra premium for a sealed known brand comes with peace of mind.

I dont understand why anyone would want to take such a risk.

The scary thing is, people buy such oil and use it. They're already low on their "Shell" oil

There was some images or video circulating on whatsapp a few months ago of cheap oil in drums being decanted into shell etc bottles with seals and legit looking stickers. So even if it says shell or whatever you cant really be sure unless you buy from a reputable store

I recently bought Valvoline VR1 for the Range Rover from Triangle Lubricants behind Kuilsriver Police Station its R378 excluding which I think is a fantastic price considering how much I pay for LM and the Kombis oil etc.

Same trend across a lot of things including alcohol hence buying from a reputable shop is key for these items.

I recently bought Valvoline VR1 for the Range Rover from Triangle Lubricants behind Kuilsriver Police Station its R378 excluding which I think is a fantastic price considering how much I pay for LM and the Kombis oil etc.

Consistency of supply is my major issue with the well known international brands that are almost "botique" in nature locally. I used to run nearly all my cars exclusively on Mobil.Then all of a sudden it just ceased to exist and now sometimes you spot a bottle or two somewhere. Valvoline is similar sometimes there is a wall of the stuff at autozone and then three months later nothing.

Life is seasonal……..some people not poor, just broke which is temporary.

Even if they were poor, we cant judge or look down on them. Some all they need is a fighting chance.
