I was driving through Paarl on Sunday to get some takeaways for Sunday lunch (what a kak weekend with my son snapping his arm in half on Saturday so potjiekos or a lamb roast was very far down on my list of things to do), and I saw the Supreme Technic crew parked outside a local restaurant. I think they were probably coming from that gathering in Wellington (which seems to again just be an event for revving your engine as hard as possible a few times and then buggering off - as in literally just sit in your car with 10 other cars revving the crap out of it...why though?), and I'm not casting any aspersions - I've just seen them on some vids spinning - but I just remember thinking as I drove by "Man, I really hope these guys don't intend ruining everyone's quiet Sunday afternoon."
It's sad that that's my reaction and maybe it's a fault with me, but surely it says something about the "scene" if I drive past a bunch of Ms and don't think "Ah wow, look at those cool cars"?
Funny enough, 500m down the road I drove past a parked, well taken care of, stock E36 325i and that brought a smile to my face. Not the kitted out, carbon-clad Ms.
