Service center in Pretoria East?

Hi all,

Any recommendations on where to get my F20 118i serviced in Pretoria East? 120k service.

I need a 'drive terrain' error diagnosed as well. Pops up on any hard acceleration, and puts the car in a kind of limp mode that shudders on throttle and causes rough idle. A restart takes care of the problem until I accelerate somewhat hard again.

Might even be worth doing stage 1 software and a bit of exhaust? Not sure how worth it is playing around with this platform.

N13 is not the strongest of motors, I wouldn't suggest modding in the least.
I just needed to hear it from someone else as well. I gathered as much from my reading.

It is unfortunate, because the car is quite fun on spirited drives and has a bit of punch.

Not to rain on your parade but there is enough info about these motors on the web that if it was my car, I would not take the risk and tune it.

No raining on my parade. :) The car was bought as a nice-to-look-at commuter. Just needed more voice of reason to not fiddle with it.

Have chat to @Xcede Performance regarding your tuning needs. I unfortunately don't know any tuning shops in the east of Pretoria.
For services it may be a bit of a drive but Ross Duncan has a good reputation. A lot of forum members have used him in the past. They are out in Midrand.

Thanks for the service recommendation.

I'm not going to fiddle with the car, I will find some other way to scratch this silly itch.

So I ended buying a OBD2 reader from Auto Tech Tools. Had a misfire on cylinder 2. I swapped the coils and the issue moved to cylinder 3. New coilpack from Goldwagen down the road and no more surging/limping. 😁
