Ouch! That’s gonna hurt.

Is the new M2 really wild? The last car that seemed to build a bit of a reputation was the G7.5 TCR.
Yes, it’s quite a handful. Cape Town has already totaled two Brooklyn Grey M2s. I think new drivers don’t understand what happens when traction control is "off" or think it might be fun to turn it off while driving spiritedly on normal roads.

BMW quotes the M2's power at 338 kW, but it typically dynos at about 345-350 kW at the wheels worldwide. This, combined with a rear-wheel-drive system eager to put you sideways, is a recipe for disaster in the hands of an inexperienced driver.

When you purchase a new BMW M2, you receive a voucher for the M Advanced Driving Course. I suggest everyone take this course, whether they get the voucher or need to pay for it. After that, book the M Drift Course. Even if you don’t drive a high-powered car, it’s a must-have experience to understand driving dynamics and the do’s and don’ts of driving.

If you are an experienced driver, go crazy and enjoy the car while being able to control it. There is a time and place to turn off traction control and enjoy the car, but that place is not near any roadside with curbs.

With regards to the latest spotting who knows maybe the driver was trying to avoid something on the road, it could of been a regular accident or he was just trying to have a fun drive that went wrong. Either way hope everyone is okay

Teezoh, I drove past you last week Friday, close to Bastion primary school. Well let me rather say I drove past the car in your profile pic.
