So I bought a Long Beach Blue Baby B58. I took delivery on Friday. The car was sold by BMW Centurion and I took delivery at BMW Stellenbosch - everything was done and concluded by email, telephone and WhatsApp.
While I was busy ironing out the deal I had a friend go have a look at the car. I simultaneously did a vindocs check (thanks @MR_Y for the plug - very good resource). Unfortunately, Coisman just updated us that very day that he is unable to do eNatis checks for us while he sets up for his new role (imagine my superstition at that point). Nonetheless, I was happy with the friend’s checks, I also got some videos, photos, service history and MP history from the dealer and Vindocs came back clean.
The car is a 2019 M240i with 42k km on the clock. It was well looked after by previous owner and has VPS paint protection (front and back but not quite full). The interior is in superb condition.
The car is well spec’d: comes with HK sound system, prof Nav, adaptive LEDs, comfort access, electric seats with memory, pdc - front and back, etc. but has a sunroof delete and no CarPlay (apparently I can buy this of connecteddrive store? Can anyone confirm).
It was the first time seeing a M240i with sunroof delete in SA, even the dealer didn’t notice the sunroof delete until I told him about it (hard to believe but I made him walk to the car for a R100 bet and he lost R100 there). This is not a deal breaker for me though. I had panoramic sunroof on my Q3 and I spent more time worrying about leaks and rattles after driving over uneven roads than I admitted at the time. Time will tell if I will miss the sunroof or not.
The car has been a garage queen this weekend due to bad weather.

I think I bought the wrong car. My neck is sore, my mouth is dry and my cheeks hurt. I cannot stop looking back when I walk away at the parking lot, hence sore neck. I cannot swipe the smile off my face when i unlock it to go by bread for the 5th time today, hence the sore cheeks. I cannot close my mouth when this thing picks up speed at the touch of the pedals, hence the dry mouth.
