Interesting, my drivers door does the same, like it just doesn't have enough power in the motor to pull it that little bit to finish the latch.
Let me know how it goes if you visit him and estimated cost.

Went and saw the man yesterday, great gent and upstanding.

Apparently, with the weight of the door, because its heavy, overtime causes a slight misalignment, which triggers the issue.

Given limited time we had (left home at 14:30, only got get there at 15:45, accident on the road plus Easter rush), couldn’t resolve the issue but atleast did a detailed diagnostics which is really helpful.
