Anyone else waiting for over 4 weeks for parts for this recall (I understand for all 30/40/50d engines)?

Yes many people are right now, if the EGR cooler is found to be leaking it's replaced within a day if not then it goes onto back-order from Germany

I am also waiting for my EGR on back order from Germany for the 640d, the claim was approved, so they said they will let me know when it arrives, that was over a month ago. still waiting.

I’ve was informed that my x3 would still have to wait a few months for its parts, apparently the different cars have different kits?

You can call a dealer, give them your VIN and they will check.
