Hi Guys. Its Phillip here.I just bought a F15, 30d, X5 last month and it's a 2014 model and took it for a long drive this past long weekend and was disappointed as it was jerking when traveling for a couple of hours. I took it to BMW Sandton where I purchased the car and they seem to be not interested and instead tells me during the test drive the car was fine and no jerking. I asked my sales lady to lemme speak to the manager and explain my problem but was not given the chance. I do not know what to do next.

They don't have any reason to give you runaround after only 1 month of purchase. Go back and ask for a DP(dealer principal) to sort this out. I think there's a 6 months dealer warranty as per CPA (Consumer Protection act)

BMW Sandton is usually a good dealership.
The car would have a 6 month warranty as per Consumer Protection Act. It is not a Voetstoets car.

They need to book the car in for assessment and they must not charge you since the car was bought recently.

Dealer contacted me today informing me that thecar was ready for collection. I Akedthw..if they put my car in the machine for operation report and they just mentioned that they did the test drive only. I tried calling the dealer principal and left a message for him but never got a callback from him. I have a lot of doubts as they are BMW dealership and have a workshop it is not easy to give me a simple report from their workshop. I am considering to cancel this deal as I have emailed my finance house about this issue.

I think cancelling the deal might be a good option as it seems you have purchased a lemon this is probably a sign of more issues to pop up later.

Contact BMW SA.
Email them (contact details should be on website) and CC dealer and salesperson.

In addition to contacting BMW SA you can also put this on Hellopeter, the dealer's social media as well if they have, and see if that gets their DP's attention.

Agreed with all the above. Dealerships are all about reputation and if they care, they'll do everything to protect it.

Hi guys. I just got eply from used car manager stating Exhaust sensor fault and they cleared it. My question to him was why they just cleared the fault and not replaced the sensor. Haven't heard from DP since I left a message for him.

what was the outcome of this? did you end up keeping the car? it's difficult to cancel a deal.
