x40i PPSK

Good day Fanatics

I recently acquired an F36 440i and I am contemplating getting the PPSK.

Are there any Fanatics in the PTA or Sandton area with a 340i or 440i that has the kit fitted that could possibly take me for a quick drive in their car as I would like to get an idea of how it sounds (happy to donate some petrol money too).

My key interest is the exhaust and since I am not really one for loud exhausts, I just want to make sure it is not too loud for my liking.

I would just get the MPE. B58 must have MPE😎
Wouldn't really get the full PPSK unless you getting it for less than the circa R20k extra.

Thanks for the feedback so far.

I was looking into the MPE but it seems to be a more simple backbox with a valve delete as opposed to the MPPSK which is a different full exhaust system that is still valved.

Any other comments appreciated.

MPE = just the back box with one side valved.

MPPSK = full exhaust, no midpipe res, and rear box is electronically valved on both sides. Valves open in comfort over 4k rpm or so, permanently open in Sport and Sport+. In Sport+, burbles are very aggressive (in a good way), but keep in mind this essentially straight pipes the car.

No drone when in comfort (how they achieved that with just a rear box and no res is pure witchcraft).

I have this setup. Will record sound clips soon and upload. I am on the westrand if you want a drive sometime.

It's 15/10. I am totally in love.

Thanks to @KR_19 for helping me identify these nice things.

I’ve got the MPE and rogue performance DP and it sounds awsome. It’s loud though. Cold start is insane

My M240i had the MPE - I think it will meet your requirements as it seems you want it loud but not obnoxious and that's exactly what the MPE is.

Exactly that. I have the MPE on my M140i - cold start is loudish regardless of mode. Comfort mode is chilled. Sport and Sport+ adds upshift and downshift burbles. A great mix

MPE + dp is sufficient for me. I've programmed the cold start to be off. It's LOUD with a dp.
If you don't plan on doing dp and concerned about your warranty then I'd say go for MPPSK purely because MPE only is still soft imo and and you have the advantage of the warranty.
It's very pricey from BMW tho, I remember being quoted close to R40k.

I listened to your video on the MPPSK, my fok...that car is loud and sounds absolutely lovely!

I have heard other exhausts come close to it but for OEM, that sounds mental!

Coolest part is when you are in comfort, its totally normal from inside, and highway cruising has zero noise from the exhaust.

Yeah I've never heard a OEM MPPSK sound like that. That car sounds like it has downpipes.
Sounds great.

Hi Guys.. just bought a 2017 440i gran coupe.
Looking to do MPPSK. Prices are ridiculously high. Over R50k.
Is there any BMW dealership that offers it cheaper?
