M4 price

Yeah, BMW will likely do you a deal to an extent that (say) Porsche won't. So I'd not be surprised if somebody got this car at retail-10%. I'd love to know what they actually shift for 2nd hand (not asking prices). 20 000km and 2 years old and they're still asking a pretty big amount. Still hilarious to me that anyone looks at the current M3/4 and thinks "yes please".

The G80 M3 is the best M5 you can buy new today...

Test drove the G before I bought my F82.

It's fast, sounds better than the F and is better in all aspects than the F82 but it was not worth the R700k premium I would have had to pay versus the LCI F82 I ended up with which had 20k odd kms.

If the G was an E92 on steroids ITO driving dynamics, sound, experience etc then it would have been an harder choice.

When I'm spending R2M I'd rather just spend a little extra and get a porsche or R8 V10 Gen 2.

Was actually walking about today and dropped into Audi, a brand new R8 V10 on their floor is R3.9xm - that to me is similarly mad. They're fast and beautiful, sure but they have literally 0 badge cred. Car prices simply astonish. :(

In the last month or so, I have noticed a big jump in the number of G8X M cars in the Midrand area. Is it just due to stock now being available, or has the pricing 'corrected' itself to a point where people are actually buying them?

Price is now irrelevant coz one cannot drive that type of car in SA any longer. I hit a small pothole and it cost me R47000 in repairs. Now I drive a bakkie... M4 sold

I assume used cars are hitting the market as initial buyers either get cars repossessed or upgrade?

My money is on this. I don't know if it's a huge jump I've really noticed, but certainly more than before. They are at a point in the cycle where those early adopters are switching to newer Ms (releasing stock into the market at better prices) or getting into different cars.

There is no actual correction on new pricing.

One of my mates hit a pothole in his bakkie and got a 25K bill recently :ROFLMAO:. I don't think you're safe in anything these days.

The government is on an aggressive drive to destroy the middle class...

Strangely enough it is not just SA that is experiencing this phenomenon.
Totally unrelated but have a look at this video. On youtube
