Going for a spin in the m340i this afternoon. The one they ordered for me arrived this morning. Looking forward to that but at the moment leaning towards the X3. I think it will be much more practical over the years. Will see later today

How is the interior in terms of quality/luxury compared to the previous gen X5?

Very nice. Nice colour. I would’ve liked to go the LCI route, but that would’ve pushed the budget a bit!

What is your consumption like? My X5 M50d averaged 11l,7/100km over 2,5 years ownership which is more than what I expected, but the performance made up for it. From what I’m reading the M40i would be in the 12l/100km region combined cycle.

Only have the X3 for a few months. no long trips done. mainly town / traffic driving and im averaging 13l/100km. Mind you, my foot is a bit heavy....

I track my actual consumption using Fuelly with each fuel up. My combined cycle is sitting at 11.7l/100km over the last 6 months of ownership.

Boss took delivery of his X3 M40i

Its a August 2021 model.
Is this then a 285kw or 265kw ?

Very impressed with it.

Yes, cancelled the m340i last week Monday and then the dealer ordered the X3 from a branch in Gauteng. Apparently arrived over the weekend. They need to do the inspections and stuff. I’m hoping for today, but will probably only be tomorrow realistically. But yes, very excited!
