BMW E90 320d auto clutch slipping

Hi

I am Fairly new to the forum.

I have a E90 320d 2010 with a ZF gearbox. I recently bought the vehicle and did a full service on it. engine service and the gearbox service. since I did the gearbox service my clutch keeps slipping when I accelerate to hard.
took the vehicle to ZF and got quoted R28k ex vat. this is a bit steep to say the least. took it do another RMI workshop and they drove it and it the same thing and they advised to take the car to ZF. if I drive the car like a old person it drives great and the speed gradually increases. but if I have to over accelerate then it slips and the transmission warning light comes on.

my question is has anyone taken their car to ZF for something like this? if I do spend the R28K will that give me piece of mind that i will not have issues with the gearbox for a while? is there any other advice that i could get?

i thought of buying a new gearbox but, but with the new gearbox I don't know the condition the box is in and whether it wont give me the same problem few months down the line.

You should have taken the car to ZF to have the oil analyzed before changing the oil.

Chances are you were past the point of no return to change the oil, in that case a oil change will not be recommended.

You dont have a lot of options unfortunately

I think ZF has a warranty on their services? Faintly remember something along those lines when I took mine in June for a service

They should yes... From what I recall, all RMI approved workshops have to offer a 12 month warranty on work done.
