The year... 2003.
The car.. E30 M3 in white.140 000 kms
I remember fondly the price.. R 160 000.

Was more than I could afford at the time unfortunately.

Should have bought it tho right.. And sold now for R1. 2m?

However... Besides the rarerty, and the wide body on it.. The 325 is is a better car... My opinion...
Would still buy the M3 E30 if I could get a chance and a winning lotto ticket.

In a straight line, the 325is is not that much slower than a e30 M3. Time in a track is also not a huge dif, and the 6 cylinder sounds better than the 4 pot.

You guys need to do some history on why the E30 M3 was produced... It owes its very existence to the Merc 2.3 190E.

So I started off by stating that I'd still have an M3 E30 if I could afford to. I'd not drive it much tho, at 1.2m it would be an ornament.

An E30 325is, I could probably get a clean one for under R200k.

Would be much better fun, more cost effective, easier to insure and maintain... And I prefer the 6 cylinder growl to the 4 cylinder.

Again guys... My opinion.
The M is a great car, a real classic.

not that it would make any difference on which one id choose but for interest sake please pass on the track comparison you saw with SA 325is and M3 and ill buy you a 6 pack thanks. I mean you wouldn't just say that without seeing the actual track comparison?

Here...
Evo1 vs M3
Evo has a 7.3 0-100 and 15.7 qm time
M has a 6.3 0.100 and a 14.5 qm time

M does handle better as it was designed as a track focused car.

I'll find you a video on it. It may be easier to digest.
