Hey Guys

So I'm kinda in the market for an E30 M3 but it seems its going to take some time finding one sooooo

I've been looking at the E36 and E46 M3 and I've noticed allot of the adds says "collector item"

Question is: Is it really an collectors piece?

There is an E30 M3 that may be available for 1.2m odd.
If you are in the market for one this may satisfy your needs.
As to e36 M3 being a collectible there is a 44000k that has had an offer of R800k turned down and a 140000km that has turned down an offer of R450k.
The right e36 m3 will fetch a tidy sum of money,
I do not know whether the aboves gives an indication of the e36 M3 desirability?

Interesting so once they get closer to 200 000km they worth nothing? I've seen 2 one at 180 000km other 200 000km selling below R200 000

Please share some details on the E30 that might become for sale

It is not so much the distance that they cover but the shenanigans that owners perform on them.
With a lot of the parts becoming NLA one has to be carefull to choose a car that will not be faced with NLA parts needs.

Easy...

You can get one cheaper that requires a crap load of work on it....or one at a higher value which has had everything done.

coupes seem more desirable
Because they are.

Except when you trading in. Then the dealer will tell you all the stories about how 2 door cars don't sell. Think about the kids etc... Lol

Ive told a Salesman that the world has 7.6billion people in it, we dont need more, so 2 doors and/or 2seats is preferable :D

yoh, i get anxiety thinking about owning any e30 in this country.
I daily drove my E30 for about 2 years and the only issue I experienced is a lot of people make me offers on the car, I mean A LOT. Other than that, no other problems. I must say though it is not the desirable 325is or 325i.
