what dealerships are good?

I always used to take my car to Alberante BMW but after they closed down I had to go to Auto Glen BMW in Oakdene. I have had nothing but terrible service from the guys at Auto Glen so I wouldn’t recommend them - they have very little technical knowledge and aren’t very keen to give discount on service and spares.

I went to Bedfordview BMW and had a really pleasant experience there so I will continue going there... but the experiences do differ from person to person wherever you go.

Woodmead auto is tops, after purchasing my car I realised there was a crack in the headlight, I phoned them and they fixed it no questions asked.

Great experience from Menlyn auto BMW and Hugo.

I asked for front disks to be replaced - still had relatively new pads on. they replaced disks and pads front and rear and did a brake flush. replaced a bunch of strut tower stuff rear door locking mechanisms and a few other items all under MP without questioning anything.

Loving the whole BMW experience this far. I finally know what after sales service is!

from what ive seen it seems most bmw dealerships are a joke i think it would be a good ides to compile a list of dealers that are good :) please feel free to add...

im looking for a dealership in JHB south that is good... does anyone know of one?

I personally recommend Auto Alpina on the East Rand. I once bought a BMW 530 D there as well as a motorbike. If I may include an article here - https://awpinternet.blogspot.com/2017/10/ray-ban-sunglasses-and-bmw-mystery.html

Well. I'm taking this back. Been trying 3 weeks now to get a quote on an extended warranty. On the last service i asked for a knocking sound to be looked at and it wasnt done. i was phoned by the dealership to come and collect the car after the service only to wait an hour for them to actually finish the job. AND I Got one hell of an attitude when i phoned them to complain about my experience from the service manager.

Evening gents

If anyone can recommend a dealer in JHB / Midrand / Sandton area to facilitate a private deal please let me know. I'm going to look at an E90 tomorrow and I have a feeling it's what I'm looking for. Not keen to do all the paperwork / roadworthy's etc myself.

Thank you

Took my car to Sandton not too long ago. Ended up that practically entire suspension was replaced, steering rack, air con regas. Long story short (it was several pages long), they had the car for three days and the workmanship (and motorplan) was amazing.
Will always go back to them from now on.
